How clear can it be??? THE GOP IS THE ENEMY OF AMERICA!

  2. genie0390 says:

what a bunch of liberal crap! Unemployment Insurance?? since when should taxpayers be obliged to sustain an insurance fund?? that’s not insurance, it’s welfare plain and simple

  3. billoakesattablthree says:

    Rachel – Thank you!!!!

  4. billoakesattablthree says:

@genie0390 you competely missed the point – one doesn’t even need a third grade education to understand what is being spoken of here – this is not a difficult concept- turn off the cartoons for a moment and think- LOL

  5. genie0390 says:

    @billoakesattablthree

how come there are no funds in the “insurance” plan to pay benefits and taxpayer dollars must be injected??

the point that I didn’t miss is that in America the need for taxpayer funds seems to be endless, and the Dems don’t seem to hesitate to spend other peoples’ money

    is that not so??

  6. Judy101101 says:

if unemployment is so bad – good idea cut it out and give eveyrone the money they paid into it. win win

  7. narocroc says:

The only way I can tolerate Maddow is with the vuvuzelas on.

  8. rollsthepaul says:

The more cruel and stupid and greedy, the GOP get, the better it is to keep these assholes out of office. The Democrats are pathetic but the GOP are much worse.

  9. beeshor1 says:

@genie0390 Those people who are now unemployed paid into it themselves. It isn’t welfare. They unemployed actually had to earn a living at one point to be eligible for it.

  10. genie0390 says:

    @beeshor1

seeing as how taxpayer funds are required in massive amounts to payout “insurance” it’s obvious that the workers did not make adequate payments into the fund to begin with

taxpayers don’t contribute to my car insurance, home insurance, disability insurance, dental plans etc

  11. beeshor1 says:

@genie0390 You’re comparing two different things that have NOTHING to do with each other. There are many workers who paid in for years without ever getting anything in return. There are those that didn’t pay quite as long. If you’re home burns down and you didn’t pay insurance for very long, the insurance company still pays for your home. It does so off of the premiums it collects from other customers. That’s how insurance works.

“There are those that didn’t pay quite as long. If you’re home burns down and you didn’t pay insurance for very long, the insurance company still pays for your home. It does so? off of the premiums it collects from other customers.”

RIGHT ON! BUT the TAXPAYERS don’t pay, otherwise it would become just another welfare scheme

YOU really don’t get the point do you??

  17. jdwithers says:

let’s start off with this: i am unemployed. I am currently collecting unemployment compensation. Why would anyone take a minimum wage job (or take a part time job) when unemployment compensation pays just as much, and possibly more. There is a valid argument that being unemployed and getting paid for it prevents some people from securing employment.

  18. nelsonrc says:

I was unemployed for a year and on unemployment insurance. It paid me barely enough to pay my mortgage with very little to go toward the other bills, or food. I was in constant fear of being homeless. I couldn’t sell my house because the market went to hell and I was struggling to find a job. I was afraid to leave my home, just because I was afraid to spend any money.

I’m glad the unemployment insurance was there, but I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. It is much better being employed.

  19. TiffW1979 says:

@hackit12 That is a VERY intelligent answer and perfect describes the republicans. They justify their selfish ways with a fake sense of moral justification! I think you quoted the perfect quote what is going on here!

  20. TiffW1979 says:

The republicans are losing seats every year because of their selfish acts of self preservation. They believe things shouldn’t change, but have they looked outside? They don’t want change because they are rich and want to stay rich no matter who suffers! After siding with BP, killing unemployment, and just all around being ignorant, selfish politicians I really can’t see anyone dumb enough to vote for them. I am independent and I can’t vote republican, I have a brain and use it!

  21. jag10 says:

    perverting the truth, again.
Sad that people find “truth” from progressive government propaganda.

only an uninformed idiot whould find truth from this poison serum.

  22. shannwil says:

The republicans have shown they are nothing but satanist and the devil will soon cash in on their asses. Burn in hell you evil son of a bitches!!!!!!!

  23. u2berism says:

I was working 60 hours a week for a fortune 500 company and have been laid off due to downsizing. Now I am one of the “spoiled” and can barely make my mortgage, let alone health insurance and normal bills. I’m now thinking of becoming a drug addict, riding the rails and breeding as much as I can. Weeeee! Repubican’s hide your children, the unemployed are coming.

Thank you, dear Rachel, for this and previous segments on this topic and all the other things you see so clearly.

  24. u2berism says:

Talk about lazy? Who here got two weeks off for the 4th of July Holiday? I’ll take that job, thank you.

And Sharron Angle… would love to see you asking people if they would like fries with their order.

  25. vjacq88 says:
