I started a website business and became really interested in programming and starting teaching myself PHP, Python and other languages. I think sometimes passions/hobbies can really lead to personal development. That and your friends/teachers of course. I think another turning point was camp before 11th grade.... It was sleepaway for 6 weeks and I really had some very influential experiences there. Hmmm.
