What is the difference between the law of attraction and prayer?

That both seem to serve the same purpose. Is there a difference? The reason I ask is that if you think of something, or visualize something that you want, whether it be some object, and experience or and outcome; and you have faith that it will become, then isn’t that the same energy as prayer? So, wouldn’t that make prayer simply another concept of law of attraction? Are they both simply the power of the mind? Because I seem get the same results from both.

Now that definitely changes the whole landscape, doesn’t it? If we have the power to attract simply by the power of thought and imagination, then what does that say about prayer?
