What is the mindset behind Republicans wanting it legal to carry guns in our National Parks?

While most Americans go to parks with the agenda to enjoy themselves, this only makes it more inviting for people with ‘other’ agendas to take advantage of innocent Americans and foreigners who visit our parks.
