Why is the grass always greener on the other side? Or is this mainly for women?

So women want to be main bread winners, they dont want to stay at home and in the kitchen. While alot of modern men are now opposite, they are main bread winners and wouldnt mind staying at home. And honestly, do women think its better to be a man in a relationship? working all the time, and coming home to a "modern day woman" ie, selfish, delluded etc.
